How often should I have a facial?
We recommend having a professional facial once a month. Skin cells have a turn-over rate of 28 days so a monthly facial would help to deep cleanse and remove impurities from the pores. If you're on a budget, have a facial every three months and maintain healthy skin at home with our line of Eminence organic skin care products available at our boutique. We recommend using a gentle facial cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturizer twice a day and adding an exfoliant and masque twice a week. Don't forget to wear a sunscreen with at least an SPF 15 every day. Always treat your skin gently and never try at-home extractions, leave that to your esthetician.
What is the difference between a bikini, in-betweenie, and a brazilian wax?
A basic bikini wax removes any hair from the edges that would be visible out of a standard bikini bottom. An in-betweenie wax brings those edges in even further and takes a little off the top as well. A brazilian wax removes everything underneath, behind and most (if not all) off the front.
Who is a good candidate for waxing services?
A good candidate should have hair that is at least 1/4 inch in length for the wax to grab hold of it. For most people, this means letting your hair grow for at least a week or so. Users of Retin-A, Renova, Differin, Accutane, Tetracycline, and certain antibiotics are advised not to have waxing performed as these medications tend to weaken the skin and tearing of the skin may occur when the wax is removed. Other acne medications, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, topical antibiotics, and salicylic acid can be contraindicative to waxing as well. It is your responsibility as a client to inform your Esthetician prior to waxing if you are currently using or recently used any of the above ingredients. Waxing should not be done on areas of skin affected by warts, pimples, moles or rashes or on skin that is irritated, chapped or suffering from sunburn. If you bleed, bruise, or have skin that tears easily, waxing may not be the ideal form of hair removal for you.
How can I book an appointment?
Appointments can be made via telephone by calling 915-247-8747 during business hours. Unlike most day spas in El Paso, you can also book your appointment online by clicking the "schedule now" button on our website. Our website is easy to access even via smartphone. You can also find a link to schedule online on our Facebook page. A credit card is necessary to book via phone and online.
Why do I need a credit card to book an appointment?
We require a credit card to book your appointment in order to reserve time exclusively for you and to avoid no-shows. When you do not show up, not only is it rude, but it does not allow for anyone else to come in for an appointment during the time you have reserved. Your credit card information is stored on a secure server, off-site, according to Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS). You can schedule your appointment with peace of mind, knowing your personal information will be stored securely and responsibly. Your credit card will never be charged unless you fail to show up or do not follow our cancellation policy.
What is the cancellation policy?
We request the courtesy of a 24 hour notice in the event that a service appointment needs to be cancelled. In the event that 24 hour notice is not given we will charge your credit card a no-show fee of 50% of the scheduled service value should you miss your appointment without 24- hour notification. We understand that emergencies arise and in those cases, exceptions can be made.
Appointments booked same day of service will be assessed a no-show fee should cancellation become necessary.
This cancellation policy allows us the time to inform our standby guests of any availability, as well as keeping our therapists’ and estheticians' schedule filled, thus better serving everyone.
Will I be reminded of my appointment after I book?
All appointments, including those booked via telephone, are managed on our online scheduling system. This system will automatically send you an e-mail confirmation the minute your appointment is booked and then another reminder e-mail the day before your appointment. If you do not receive the initial confirmation e-mail please make sure to check your spam or junk e-mail folder or call to confirm that your e-mail address was entered correctly.
